Consultations are appropriate for those seeking candid legal opinion about employment or civil matters, for high priority and time-sensitive situations, and for those who need documents reviewed. I will engage with you to generally understand your situation and help you make an informed decision. No pressure or sales pitch. If I do not believe that you have a viable legal claim, I will help you understand my reasoning and advise you of other potential options and resources.
The online Case Review is appropriate for those who do not wish to pay for a consultation, but still wish to know if I can help. This is an encrypted web form interview that takes approximately 5–45 minutes to complete, depending on the complexity of your situation. I will review and follow up via phone or email. This option does not include an analysis of whether or not you have a viable claim, an explanation of the law, suggested strategies, or any other form of legal advice. If you desire such things, you should schedule a paid consultation.
Mediations must be scheduled by an attorney for one of the parties to the dispute being mediated. Counsel should first confer regarding a mutually-acceptable date. The scheduling attorney must select an available date that works for everyone, complete Sections 2–5 of the Agreement to Mediate, and sign the Agreement. I will notify you of any conflict concerns. The scheduling attorney is responsible for collecting the signatures of all persons who will participate in the mediation and circulating the fully-executed Agreement within 72 hours of scheduling. Absent alternative arrangements, the mediation will begin at 9 a.m. It will be held via Zoom or conducted in person, as selected by the parties.
