BSWA is a non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration, protection, and monitoring of Big Spring Creek near Newville, Pennsylvania. Big Spring Creek is the 5th largest spring in Pennsylvania. It is one of the world’s most productive limestone spring creeks. At one time it was considered the best Brook Trout stream in the United States. Our organization is made up of citizens, scientists, fishermen, and naturalists trying to restore Big Spring to its once famous heritage.
